Strenghtening market position in Institutional Banking

From 2025, increased defence spending of Poland is to amount to 5% of GDP, and the value of funds in the Armed Forces Support Fund by 2027 is to exceed PLN 300 billion. Citi Handlowy has dedicated solutions for financing long-term defense contracts, solutions for hedging the risk of financing such projects and the possibility of supporting the government in organizing debt issues for defense financing.

Polish’s energy transition requires expenditures of up to PLN 900 billion by 2040. We will provide various forms of financing for the development of capital-intensive energy projects, offer financial risk management and foreign exchange, and leverage Citi’s global expertise to support clients in the energy sector.

We will be more committed to fast-growing companies in the technology, e-commerce and fintech industries. We offer our technological advantages, solutions for instant payments and processing of high-volume transactions, as well as the security of the solutions we offer.

We implement Citi’s state-of-the-art global solutions, thanks to which companies with international ambitions can manage their finances even better in the markets in which they operate. They can use the global online banking system, integrate their own systems with the bank’s systems, and use platforms to handle trade. Later this year, the bank will introduce a new version of its electronic platform for managing foreign exchange transactions – Velocity 3.0, which is a gateway to global financial markets for clients.
